Why Tech Concierge?​

Now, more than ever, the world is turning towards technology to do things they once did in person:  using telemedicine; ordering food; depositing a check.  Many families have no other option but to connect via video chat.  Thus, proficiency in technology is no longer a recommended skill, but rather necessary for daily living.  Unfortunately, older generations are the most vulnerable to the global pandemic, yet they also need the most help with technology—enter HelpHerd tech concierge.  Come make an impact and be the gift of #TechEmpowerment.

What is Tech Concierge?​

Tech Concierge is a herd of tech-savvy enthusiasts who help subscribers use technology to improve their lives by walking them through basic tasks:  video chat family; setup and learn a new device;  become safer online, or anything else.  As tech concierge, subscribers will call, email, or chat you to solve any problem or answer any question related to technology.  Sometimes that means you're helping people fix things, but most times that means you're helping people actually #DoThings.  Join the herd.

Responsibilities:

  • Field routed tickets from subscribers needing help with technology

  • Creatively and quickly solve tech problems in friendly, simple ways

  • Provide tech recommendations

  • Work within a given schedule

  • Manage billing information, when necessary

  • Leverage Zendesk software to document customer interactions

Qualifications:

  • Tech-savvy to solve most consumer-grade tech problems on your own, and shamelessly resourceful to quickly find the answers when you don't

  • The ability to use simple language to describe complex things

  • Enthusiastic about technology, paying attention to trends, news, and products

  • Proficiency in most major operating systems and interfaces (e.g., iOS; Android; macOS; Windows; Amazon Fire; Roku, etc.)

  • Basic understanding of home wired and wireless networks

  • Consistent access to high-speed internet
